Hugh Phelan provides the complete range of notarial services for individuals and businesses in Cork. Professional, accurate, and internationally recognised.
Document notarisation is the authentication of your document by a qualified Notary Public. Hugh Phelan verifies your identity, witnesses your signature, and attaches a notarial certificate confirming the document's authenticity.
Notarised documents are recognised internationally and are required by foreign government bodies, courts, companies, and institutions. Any document intended for use outside Ireland almost certainly requires notarisation.

An apostille is an official government certificate that authenticates your notarised document for use in any of 125+ countries that are members of the Hague Convention (1961). Without an apostille, many countries will not accept Irish documents.
Hugh Phelan manages the entire apostille process: notarising your document and submitting it to the Department of Foreign Affairs Authentication Unit in Dublin to obtain the apostille certificate.
An affidavit is a sworn written statement made before a Notary Public. Statutory declarations are similar formal statements used for a wide range of legal and administrative purposes. Hugh Phelan can prepare and/or administer both.
A power of attorney (POA) authorises another person to act on your behalf in legal and financial matters. For overseas property purchases, business transactions, or when you cannot be present in another country, a notarised POA is essential.
A certified true copy is a copy of a document that a Notary Public has verified and certified to be a true and accurate reproduction of the original. This is required when an original document cannot be submitted, such as passports, birth certificates, and academic qualifications.
Businesses operating across borders require notarised corporate documentation. Hugh Phelan provides comprehensive corporate notarial services for Irish companies with overseas operations or transactions.
